Hi! My name is Abigail Snyder and I’m a freelance photographer currently based in Roanoke, Virginia. For me, photography is a way of capturing the light and life around me, and letting others see the joy and delight of every day moments.
I started taking pictures back in 2008, when I was working at a summer camp in Northwest Pennsylvania as a lifeguard and photographer. That summer job slowly blossomed into a hobby and a passion, and even now, sports and candid photography are some of my favorite types of photos to take. I also love to travel, and whenever I go to a new city, I love to just walk the streets, taking pictures as I go.
I shot my first wedding in February 2015, and two years later, in February 2017 was one of five commissioned photographers for the Sauti za Busara music festival in Stonetown, Zanzibar. I do sports photography, fashion shoots, senior photos, street photography, candid/lifestyle photography, wedding and engagement photos, event photography, and standard portraits.
